Telling the Truth About Revitalization

Veritas is a program by the Covenant denomination that gives established churches a language to confront the current state of our church. It is a catalyst to seek ways to improve, and to dialogue in a way that is honest, hopeful, compassionate and Christ honoring. Rooted in scripture and applicable to the times, Veritas is a powerful reminder that God is in the resurrection business and that He is pulling for each of us, and our church to overcome.

ERCC began the program with a workshop in 2007 where we learned the marks of a healthy missional church and the four types of established churches in the Covenant. Since then, we’ve been meeting regularly with our facilitator, Barbara Pettit, to work on our ministry for the future.

We are seeing God work through Veritas, especially since we started this program well before Pastor Jack’s retirement, and now it is a key tool in our time of transition.
